Develop an understanding of the various regions in the brain and how they operate to control behavior. Use practical strategies to support the building of a staircase from the base of the brain to the executive functioning part of the brain.

All behavior has meaning: to gain someone or something, to avoid someone or something or to express emotion. When you see the child behind the behavior, you seek to understand and translate the meaning of behavior. Then you seek to use strategies that develop a child rather than manage a child. Learn how to grow a human that is humane!

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
•  Understand the regions of the brain and how they impact behavior.
•  Identify the key strategies to build a healthy brain
•  Name at least 3 practical strategies that support brain integration, identifying
the meaning of the child’s behavior and some key strategies to support
growing a human who is humane.
