Summary:

Audience: Licensed Family Home Child Care Providers, Center-Based Child Care Providers, License Exempt Providers, and Parents are welcome.

This training will provide key strategies and practice in dealing with difficult people and facilitating challenging conversations. Join Julie Kurtz, LMFT, as she teaches Child Care Providers and Parents brain-based strategies to support regulation so that calm conversations and agreements can be made.

Attendees will also learn to use the AAA model of communication: Act, Acquire and Adjust. This model is a key roadside service in emergencies to give you a practical tool in your communication toolbox. Additionally, you will be introduced to strength-based and culturally responsive ways of interacting with others.
