Join Lars Eric Holm, Senior Community Educator and IT Specialist for CARD (Collaborating Agencies Responding to Disasters), for a “fear-free” preparedness presentation.
Creating a SKIP (Safety Kept In Place) Kit will allow providers and parents to keep a few simple and extremely helpful items nearby in the event of an emergency. These basic items may help you be more prepared, without spending a fortune. Participants will practice creative thinking skills and learn how to be resourceful using everyday items. Using Social Media as a preparedness tool will also be discussed. Every registered participant will receive a starter SKIP kit. The first 10 registered participants will receive a portable, hand crank radio.
