Summary:

SB-792 prohibits a person from being employed or volunteering at a day care center or family child care home if he or she has not been immunized against influenza, pertussis or measles. SB-792 takes effect on 1 September 2016.

Join Amy Pine, MPH, Director, Immunization Section, Alameda County Public Health, to learn about immunization and documentation requirements. Exemptions will be discussed.

If Community Care Licensing has not published written regulations by 16 August, there may be questions that can’t be answered. Best practice strategies for remaining in
compliance, in the absence of written regulations, will be discussed.
